
A vulvul/vaginal moisturiser can be a good option for peri/menopausal women whose tissues become dryer as oestrogen drops. 1
Moisturisers don't solve the underlying problem--only localised oestrogen or systemic HRT can do that--but they are proven to help.2
It is advised that women choose a product that is optimally balanced in terms of both osmolality and pH and is physiologically most similar to natural vaginal secretions. Dr Wolff's Cream has an appropriately low pH. 2
It does have a few additives that might be irritating to some women, but it's one of the only cream formulations so might be preferred by some.2
